A young Coptic girl on her wedding day adorned with either silver or gold coins... lucky husband gets to keep both. Note the 3 crosses representing the 'Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit' tattooed on her face (forehead & cheeks). Well these days, rather than having them tattooed on the face, most Copts (Egyptian Christian) proudly uphold this custom by having 3 little crosses tattooed on their hands... the first on the (inside) of the wrist, the second between the thumb and the forefinger on the (back of the hand) and the third (optional) on the palm of the hand.
